PETER J. HATCH is a professional gardener and historian with 38 years experience in the restoration, care, and interpretation of historic landscapes. An author of four acclaimed books on the gardens of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, he was Director of Monticello’s Gardens and Grounds for 35 years.

 

MARC LEEPSON is a journalist, historian and the author of a number of books, including Saving Monticello: The Levy Family’s Epic Quest to Rescue the House Jefferson Built, and Flag: An American Biography. A former staff writer for Congressional Quarterly, Leepson is a longtime resident of Loudoun.
